	Bytesector - March 30, 2006 - Chris Wood Kingston HyperX PC2-7200 The bandwidth of this memory was higher than OCZ’s memory while maintaining the exact same FSB and timing setups, which means that this memory just performs better. I am quite impressed with the new record set for memory bandwidth and wonder if it will take more Kingston memory to break the record. We give this: Four out of 5 stars.

	Legit Reviews - April 25, 2005 - Nathan Kirsch Kingston PC-6000 Memory Model # KHX6000D2K21G Kingston took a step in the right direction with the launch of their PC2-6000 part as DDR2 memory is now starting to reach speeds that haven't been seen before. With new chipsets like the NVIDIA nForce 4 SLI Intel Edition and the Intel i955X Express entering the market we are starting to see support for beyond DDR2-667 memory. Kingston's launch of PC2-6000 memory modules enters the market timed with these new chipsets to take advantage of the new features. DDR2 memory wasn't exciting when it was launched, but DDR2 memory is now getting interesting as memory frequencies continue to rise. Legit Bottom Line: Kingston's HyperX PC2-6000 memory raises the performance bar for DDR2 memory beyond 667MHz and keeps tight timings (4-4-4) a reality.

My initial thoughts were that the performance increase was not going to be something we would see for sometime. I also had the misconception many do about the CAS ratings and how high all of the DDR2 modules seem to be. Yes there are faster and tighter DDR modules on the market, if you are lucky enough to have a motherboard that supports both and you don't OC, you might just stick with DDR memory. If, however, you want to pump up the FSB, Kingston HyperX will fill that request, and wait for the BIOS updates to show you what it is truly made of... Hubert's $0.02: I am currently using a couple sticks of the same ram in my main setup, and they have held up very well in our constant FSB fluctuations during various tests over the past several weeks. I have not had the same overclocking success as Brook did, but we're pretty certain it's our board holding us back, as the HyperX's overclocking ability is currently on par with Corsair with our current test boards. Using our RST Pro2 card, the Kingston HyperX PC5400 passed the 667MHz clock speeds without errors, which is still well under what Kingston markets the ram at. For the performance (as well as potential performance if your board can handle it), the $289 USD makes it one of the cheapest choices out there, and well deserving of our highest honour.

Priced at $265, Kingston's HyperX KHX3200UL modules are the cheapest of the three featured today, and are also the best performing. As expected with modules using the same Samsung TCCD memory chips, all three pairs of memory performed very close to one another at our set speeds and timings, but the KHX3200UL sticks by Kingston were able to get up to 284MHz FSB, 7MHz higher than Corsair's 3200XL Pro modules. The fact of the matter is that Kingston's HyperX KHX3200UL's modules are priced lower and perform better than the offerings we saw from Corsair and OCZ, and that's why we've awarded the KHX3200UL modules our Editors Choice Gold Award with a score of 92 VR-Marks.


	Madshrimps.be - November 1, 2004 - Liquid3D Kingston HyperX PC2-5400 DDR2 Memory Kingston has designed and manufactured another winner in their HyperX PC2 5400. The memory has been running trouble free for almost a month now, and is most impressive in its ability to run at only 1.80V. While most DDR2 667 requires 1.90V default, Kingston is the only memory I've tested which didn't require the additional voltage. This reflects Kingston's use of high-quality IC's, and astute engineering. Many have been apprehensive about the PCIe and DDR2 route. Personally I feel it's the future and it has arrived early. The BGA technology has many advantages over its predecessor including higher speeds, lower voltage requirements, cooler running and excellent overclockability.


	Hothardware.com - October 27, 2004 - Marco Chiapetta DDR2 Shoot-Out: Corsair vs. Kingston At about $292, the Kingston KHX5400D2K/1G DDR2 memory kit is some of the least expensive high-speed DR2 memory currently available, and its performance throughout our battery of tests was very good. And where it did "lose" a test, the margin of defeat was miniscule at best. These modules hit a higher clock speed than Corsair's when using more aggressive 3-3-3-10 timings, and when configured at 4-4-4-12 timings they overclocked a few MHz higher than Corsair's kit as well. Overclockers who want to hit extreme front side bus speeds, look no further. Kingston has a great product in their line-up in the KHX5400D2K/1G DDR2 memory kit. We're giving it a 9 on the Heat Meter.
